How to update your driver profile information

Keeping your driver profile up to date ensures that riders can identify you easily and that GoRoute can reach you with important account notifications. Most profile changes can be made directly in the app.

Updating your profile photo

Go to Account > Profile > Edit Photo. Take a new photo or upload one from your gallery. Your photo must be a clear, front-facing headshot with good lighting. Sunglasses, hats, and filters are not permitted. Photo changes are reviewed by GoRoute and typically approved within a few hours.

Changing your phone number or email

To update your phone number, navigate to Account > Personal Info > Phone Number. You'll receive a verification code at your new number to confirm the change. For email updates, go to Account > Personal Info > Email and follow the verification link sent to your new address. Your old contact information will be deactivated once the new one is confirmed.

Updating vehicle information

If you've changed vehicles or updated your license plate, go to Account > Vehicle Info. You can add a new vehicle by entering its details and uploading registration and insurance documents. Your new vehicle may require an inspection before it can be used on the platform. See our article on adding or switching your vehicle for the full process.

Emergency contacts

GoRoute allows you to designate up to three trusted contacts who can receive your live trip location in an emergency. Set these up in Account > Safety > Trusted Contacts. We strongly recommend adding at least one emergency contact for your safety.

Name changes

Legal name changes cannot be made directly in the app and require verification. Contact GoRoute driver support through Account > Help > Contact Us and provide a copy of your updated government-issued ID. Name changes are processed within 3 to 5 business days.
